Papella wasn't born from a sudden inspiration, but from a profound need. Our idea took shape during a period of severe economic crisis, a time of uncertainty, both for us personally and for the national context.

The word "Papella" in our dialect means "slap." It might seem like an unusual name for a bag, but it's the name we chose because it perfectly embodies the spirit of that period.

Papella is the necessary jolt. That metaphorical slap that forces you to stop, look within, and transform the difficulty into a new, great opportunity. It's a symbol of resilience, the ability to react and start again with more determination.

This resilience has spilled over into the design of our bag.

Transformation: If life demands adaptability, so must our accessories. Thus, the Papella bag was born: a unique product that seamlessly transforms from a shoulder bag to a clutch/anti-theft bag, adapting to every moment of your day.

Security and Character: We have also designed an anti-theft version to offer security and peace of mind, because after a crisis you learn that the essentials must be protected.

Ethics and Quality: We are proud of our 100% Made in Italy approach—from design to manufacturing—and our choice to use the highest-quality synthetic fabrics. This ethical choice honors our manufacturing tradition and avoids the use of animal skins.
